According to the New York Daily News, the message from the lockerroom of the New York Jets appears to be clear when it comes to Plaxico Buress: Get him if you can.
Several veteran members of the Jets gave their support to trying to acquire the big-play wide receiver despite his troubled past.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft addressed the Vince Wilfork contract situation Wednesday, according to the Boston Globe.
“Vince and I have a great relationship, we actually chatted at the golf tournament Monday,” he said. “We both understand that this is not personal in any way. This is just each side doing their business. One way or another, I’m sure things will get resolved.”

The Philadelphia Eagles and quarterback Donovan McNabb are close to finalizing the terms of a new contract according to CSNphilly.com.
A unnamed source told CSNphilly.com that McNabb and the organization are close to restructuring the final two years of the quarterback’s current contract. A deal could be completed in the near future.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid isn’t happy about it, but cornerback Asante Samuel has decided to skip at least some of the team’s volunteer camp this week, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Eagles’ well-compensated cornerback did not show up Monday as the team resumed the full-squad camp that started with four workouts last week. No direct statement was made by the team about Samuel’s absence, and because this camp is voluntary, the Eagles cannot take any disciplinary action.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress, speaking on a Minneapolis radio show Wednesday, said Brett Favre has been given no deadline by the team. Childress also refused to admit the team has an interested in signing the future Hall of Famer, according to Profootballtalk.com.
